Bathroom cabinets – wall mounted
July 11, 2009
Our client’s ensuite bathroom was completely renovated and updated and we were commissioned to make a dark timber corner wall-mounted cabinet. During the design stage we prepared several timber samples, and wenge was chosen by our client. The interior of this cabinet is lined with maple veneer. Two of the cabinet doors, in the corner of the unit, are bifold, giving full access to the inside. At each end of the cabinet are single door cupboards, housing pull-out wire baskets. The doors have soft close mechanisms.
The wall mounted cabinet leaves plenty of room for feet when using the washbasins, and we were able to mount the unit at exactly the right height for our client’s comfort. You can see more of our bathroom cabinets here.

January 13, 2009Drinks cabinet
January 13, 2009Our client commissioned us to make a drinks cabinet to fit in the alcove in their open plan lounge/dining room in their modern house. They had recently purchased a dining room suite and this drinks cabinet was designed to complement this. Click here to see our American Black Walnut and Rippled Sycamore cabinet; and here to view Slim Jim which can be used as a drinks cabinet too.
Timber framed cottage – kitchen
December 10, 2008Our client wanted kitchen and bathroom furniture to complement the timber frame of his country cottage. We made freestanding kitchen cabinets, shelf brackets and a stand for the sink.
We carved decorative borders on the drawers and a decorative motif on each shelf bracket.
Carved detail was worked on the handles to add the finishing touch.
See this furniture in situ in May 2010′s issue of Period Living magazine here
Entwine Table
December 9, 2008David carved the work of calligrapher Richard Crookes into the top of this console table. Inlaid cherry represents the ‘twig’ and Stephanie’s stitched hemp cord represents the ‘twine’.
This collaboration was exhibited at the Creative Networks event at Leeds College of Art and Design.
You can commission David, Stephanie and Richard to make a truly unique piece of furniture.

Moulding on cabinet to match fireplace surround
A pair of cabinets made in oak and stone to complement our client’s garden room: the moulding on the top of the cabinets is shaped to match the fireplace surround and the stone matches the stone floor. The cabinets were designed to house hi-fi equipment and vinyl record collection. Glass shelves completed the display section.
Apartment Bedroom
December 1, 2008Our client moved into his new apartment in a renovated Regency country house and commissioned us to make wardrobes and bedside cupboards for the master bedroom. These wardrobes had to match the proportions of the room with its high ceiling and architectural detail. Our client chose sycamore and bird’s eye maple to maintain the light airy atmosphere in this room. The wardrobes contain short and long hanging, shelves and pull-out shoe racks.
Entrance Hall Furniture
December 1, 2008Our clients presented a sketch of their idea for entrance hall furniture for their Victorian house, and this formed the starting point of our design. They are an active family needing somewhere to store coats, hats, gloves, scarves, walking sticks and umbrellas. They also needed space left in the entrance hall for their golf clubs. They wanted design and manufacture only and wanted it supplied as a kit so that they could collect and fit the furniture themselves.
