We made this table using Bird’s Eye Maple veneer with Rosewood feet and detailing to complement our client’s Art Deco period house.

This semi-circular table has a single drawer, which has a curved front and handcut dovetails. Bird’s Eye Maple is a very hard wood with a very decorative grain structure created by the birdseyes.

Bird’s Eye Maple features in another of our table designs here. Have a close look at our MWL desk – it’s asymmetric design allows more space for a personal computer.

You will be able to discuss your furniture needs with David, who will be delighted to provide you with initial ideas for development.

Display cabinet
This cabinet is designed for large model boats to be displayed behind locked glass paneled doors. A dolls house will be displayed on top. Our client requested a light timber – we used sycamore and made the handles and joint detailing in yew.

Entwined twixt twig and twine
David carved the work of calligrapher Richard Crookes into the top of this console table. Inlaid cherry represents the ‘twig’ and Stephanie’s stitched hemp cord represents the ‘twine’.

Entwine Console Table
This collaboration was exhibited at the Creative Networks event at Leeds College of Art and Design.
You can commission David, Stephanie and Richard to make a truly unique piece of furniture.

Our clients presented a sketch of their idea for entrance hall furniture for their Victorian house, and this formed the starting point of our design. They are an active family needing somewhere to store coats, hats, gloves, scarves, walking sticks and umbrellas. They also needed space left in the entrance hall for their golf clubs. They wanted design and manufacture only and wanted it supplied as a kit so that they could collect and fit the furniture themselves.
